Day workshop 10am - 430pm / £55 PP
Saturday 4 March 2017 - Places available
Lea Valley and Hackney Marshes
Saturday 18 March 2017 - Places available
This workshop offers you the chance to learn about the basics of digital photography using a DSLR camera in some of London’s finest green spaces. You have the choice of two different locations: Hampstead heath and Village / Lea Valley and Hackney Marshes.
Both these locations have endless photographic opportunities and this will be a full day of picture taking and exploring these areas.
You may be starting out with your DSLR and would like to get an understanding of its controls, decided to move on from simply using the auto setting and what to explore the creative usages of your camera. Or you have some experience and just want to brush up on your skills.
The aim is to enable learners to take better pictures by demystifying some of the elements of photography and making the process as simple as possible. You will learn, for instance, how to achieve a correct exposure by understanding relationship between ISO, F-stops & shutter speeds and how to compose a photograph among other things. You will come away with a selection of varied pictures and lots of new knowledge and tips.
Both these locations are a great place to get your creative juices flowing with many photogenic opportunities and some of the best views of the City and the Olympic Park.
There will also be time for some lunch and socializing where I can look at your pictures already taken and give further feedback. Expert knowledge and tips will be given in an informal, down to earth and jargon free manor.
All tuition handouts and a great day out.
